Hey Y’all
June 8th, 2010
We have had a busy few weeks around here!
Last week Ben Fink and his tireless assistant Jeff came down to Savannah trying to do the impossible....taking photos of me with only one chin for our next cookbook.
Ben is an awesome photographer and just a pleasure to be around. We jumped all over Savannah and were able to get some beautiful pictures and the food!.....Libby Summers just outdid herself. The book will be released next spring and I cant wait for y'all to see it. Ben set up some shots inside of our local minor league ballpark and if we are gonna call that work I can never complain. Thanks to Ric Sisler of the Sand Gnats for his assistance in making that happen.
We love our ball club here and a trip to the park has become a favorite "boy's night" activity for Jack and me. He gets his hot dog and grape Powerade and I get myself a draft beer and peanuts and we are as happy as, well, boys at a baseball game. We are going tonight and I am excited already...
Lisa is going to include a photo of our last picture of this weeks session. Ben is under Libby and of course Bobby and I complete the pyramid. This was taken right after our fishing photos. We met up at 6:30am out on Tybee and the sunrise was a perfect cap for the week.

Bobby and I are headed up to QVC this Sunday for David's noon time show so y'all tune in and we will see you on TV.
thanks for checking back.....

Love the update, thanks for sharing the photo. Your boys night out with Jack sounds like it will be a lot of memorable events.
Can’t wait to see you on QVC. Loved the last episode of Paulas Best Dishes with Bobby on it.
I was in Georgia once, my sis lives in Norcross. Quite a few years ago. She took my parents to Savannah, went on a ghost tour, lol.
Thanks again for sharing the photos and info, love your moms shows and recipes. I tried Bobby’s salmon recipe once, and will try Brooke’s meatloaf, printed that out, similar to moms.
My mom is passed on from Alzheimers, so enjoy your family while you can.
Love the Blog and your website. I follow you on twitter as well.
Hope Jack is doing great. Maybe your news is he is going to have a sibling soon. That’d be awesome!!
Bobby, again, loved you on PBD.

Hi Jamie and Bobby, glad you are back blogging. I’m not into baseball but when it’s a daddy and his boy and maybe his “favorite” uncle go too(????), it should be fun.
You said in one of your blogs that you guys were in People Magazine. Well, I looked at the one with Kate and her brood on the cover and you weren’t in it. Also looked at the one with Gary Coleman on the cover and couldn’t find you guys, either. Did I miss something???? Also can’t find your—this month’s or the next food magazine. My Publix doesn’t have it as of last weekend. Maybe this weekend.
Always look forward to seeing your mom. She was a “hoot” on Leno. Will watch CMT tomorrow night.
HOT here in Florida. Too early for above hundred heat index.
Hope you will include more pictures. They’re always so good. A podcast in the next few weeks would be GREAT.
Take care and keep cool. I’ll try!!!!
HUGS to you both, JANN

Hi Jamie,
Sounds like the photo shoot went well and everyone had a great time!! Can’t wait for the big news next week. Would love one day to go to Tybee Island. Busy with our son’s upcoming wedding at Lake Tahoe. When you guys go to Napa to judge the grilling contest you should try and make a side trip there, it’s breathtaking!!!
Take care and have a great week.

Hey Jamie,
I can’t wait to see you and Bobby’s next book, how exciting. The photo shoot looked like really hard work. LOL
The guy’s ball game sounds like fun. I’ve been wanting to go to another Louisville Bats game but can’t find any takers. Hopefully I can go see a game with my nephews if my sister is willing.
What’s the big news? Can you give us a hint?
We are all excited about the Paula Deen buffet coming to the Horseshoe in Indiana.
Have a good week J and B!

Hey Jaime and Bobby, Just took my son to his last day of 1st grade. We are excited about going to our minor league team the Dash baseball game tomorrow night. Jacob’s first time was going up and down the cement steps. He was probably 3 or 4 at the time. We left about 1 hour into the game. He is now 8 years old , and hopefully will enjoy it much more. I know we all will! He won tickets through a reading program at school he worked very hard for. If Jack and you are ever around Winston-Salem, NC we have a new baseball stadium here. It’s AWESOME. Have a great summer with Jack and all your family. Family is what it’s all about. Shelia Key

Hey Jamie and Bobby!
Great picture!! Tybee Island is just beautiful! When in Savannah, we head out there in the mornings and watch the sunrise…amazing!! Boys night out sounds like a lot of fun, Jamie. We’ve gone to a few games here and the kids love it! We got the chance, two years ago, to catch a Gnats game and met you all for the first time that night…it was a great night!! Watched the CMT awards and the red carpet pre-show last night, your mom looked beautiful as always and she was too funny!
Looking forward to the next book and to hear about the Big News! Going to a baptism Sunday, but the dvr is set for QVC!
Safe travels and take care!!!

Thanks for sharing… I love Savannah and the entire Georgia Coast. Tybee is a great and relaxing place…unless I am asked to climb the lighthouse…accomplished, and never plan to do that again. ha! I am planning another trip for late September. I hope to see some of you there. I am definitely going to be in the Lady and Sons and Uncle Bubbas as much as I can.
