Hey Everybody…..
November 10th, 2009
Jamie is going 100 different directions today and asked if I would pop in and say hey.
Hey y'all.
We have finally wrapped up our book tour and are both happy to be home for the holidays. For the most part anyway, we do have a trip to NY soon and a date to appear on QVC the first of December.
The tour was a success and we had fun going out and getting to meet so many of y'all and visiting a lot of places for the first time. Who knew that Fairhope Alabama was a must stop if you find yourself in L.A.(lower Alabama)?
The restaurant has been plugging along and we are about to gear up for the holidays so while we have a break from the road we will still be staying real busy. Thank goodness!
I know Jamie thanks y'all for keeping up with us and our family and I thank you too.
All the Best
Bobby Deen
While I know you probably won’t see this….

What a surprise to see you writing Bobby! I thought you had left us all in blog and twitter land ![]()
I’m sure I can speak from everyone who attended one of your book tour appearances and say that we all had so darn much fun!
Then I came to Savannah and happened to come on a day when you and Jamie were home and in the store! What great luck for me and my gal pals who were there for lunch (I’m proud to say I was the first in line for a reservation that morning).
Y’all have a great Holiday season and enjoy some family time

Bobby, so good to hear from you! Glad to hear things are getting somewhat back to normal and that you will be home for the holidays ![]()
The holidays can be hectic but it’s important to remember what makes them so special—time spent with family and reflecting on the blessings we have. In all the hustle and bustle we sometimes take things for granted. I would encourage everyone to remember their local food banks and charities to help those less fortunate than we are—in these hard economic times, there is more need than ever before. Also remember our troops who are serving overseas and cannot be with their families this holiday season. It is because of them that we are able to have the freedoms we have including the freedom to celebrate the holidays with our loved ones.
Hope ya’ll have a safe and happy holiday season!

Hey Bobby,
You are actually just the Deen brother I wanted to talk to. My mom and sister came to your book signing in Birmingham, AL. My sister, Julia, has a secret crush on you. I have a picture from the book signing I could send if you are interested. She’s a beautiful person inside and out. She doesn’t know I’m doing this and would probably kill me if she did.

Hey Bobby, so glad to hear from you. I thought you forgot about all of us as we haven’t heard anything from you in a LONG time. Miss your tweets and some funny pictures you used to post. Wish you would do that again. YOU’RE MISSED.
Would love to go to a book signing but you’re never near where I am. Someday. How about posting some pictures of your book tours and the dinner you guys put on????
When are you going to be in NYC and on QVC?
Saw your mom on the Today show when she admitted to the “train” but hoped her children weren’t listening. I howled over that one.
Enjoy being home in Savannah and in your home for a change.
Speaking of tweets again, I love reading Brandon’s. I think he is a hoot!!! Hollis is good, too.
Take care. COME BACK TO US.

Hey Bobby,
So great to hear from you. I am actually sitting here watching your mom’s show and guess what…your in this episode. I love it when you & Jamie are on the show. Y’all are cooking steaks and they look so good. Anyway, I know you are glad to be home from the book tour. Maybe things can get back to normal now. It sounds like the best stop on the tour for you and Jamie both was in Fairhope, AL. I totally agree with you cause I was there. I am so happy that y’all chose to stop there. Definitely a day I will never forget. I think about it everyday…especially when I see the pictures I had taken with you two guys that are hanging in my living room. Ok, well I gotta get back to watching how to cook these steaks. Tell Jamie Hey & that I missed him this week. Have a GREAT week. Love you guys.

Hi Bobby,
It is great to hear from you. We have missed you. I agree - Fairhope is great - I visited there earlier this year for the first time. We did a 10K walk there. I am coming to Savannah in January for some more 10Ks - hope to see you folks at the restaurant.

Bobby,
It was great to finally meet you (at the book signing in Pasadena). You were funny, interestingly talkative, and very gracious.
Thanks for taking the time to talk to people. And thanks for sharing your good news with everybody.
All the best to you and Jamie (who was greatly missed). You do look tall in the picture with my sister and I ![]()

Bobby,
I recently sent in a question through your website about gluten free recipes. I am hoping this is something you might be able to experiment with in your attempt to “lighten up ” your mom’s recipes.
Thanks,

Hey Bobby and Jamie!
I know you are glad to be home for awhile. I am glad the tour was a succcess for y’all! Loved seeing y’all on the tour!!
Holidays are right around the corner! I picked an 8 yr old girl off the Angel tree, and I am hoping to give her a wonderful Christmas! Things are tough still, but I felt like I should do that. I would encourage everyone to do that, if possible. It will most likely be the only Christmas the children will have.
Have a good week!

Hey there Bobby! How’s it going handsome?! I met you in May in the ‘great’ state of PA, in Altoona. I was the girl that could barely get a word out after seeing you face-to-face! Anyway, just wondering if you are going to be on more of your mom’s shows…miss seeing you. Btw, I think you should stay on the East Coast! (preferably in PA!= )
Take care…

Bobby,
Are there plans for a visit to Oklahoma City? We do cook here…it many times includes beef - there is an abundance here, so it seems…but we cook never the less! If you male plan to come and see us, I personally promise to get the word out and make certain the audience is filled with adorable mid-western people and not the regulars seen frequently after tornadoes sitting in the battered lawn chairs resting upon make-shift decks attached to the side of a trailer home.
I know, I can hear you laughing - I lived in Georgia also (Cumming to be exact) and yes trailer dwelling folk live across this great nation - and I have a great deal of compassion for them; however, they do not need to be infront of a television camera everytime the red light illuminates and someone with a microphone asks - ‘were you able to see it as it came towards you’ -
please consider a trip to Oklahoma City - we would love to see you and you have many fans…all of us know how to fry chicken and there is always a variety of BBQ sauces to try - All of them are the BEST EVER, I can’t testify to the facts of that statement, but I will say if the aren’t some of them come pretty close!!!
Sincerely,
Cara Sue
