Unfortunately, due to the number of similar requests, and their demanding travel and appearance schedule we are unable to arrange for personal meetings at this time. However, there is always a chance you will see them down at the restaurants, as they truly enjoy surprising their guests whenever they have a free moment! Thanks for thinking of us and enjoy your trip to Savannah!

[answer from admin] Try out Grandmother Paul’s Red Velvet Cake.
A few years ago, Jamie made a dessert using a Snickers candy bar and almond paste. I made the recipe at that time, and it was scrumptious! Unfortunately, I did not write down the recipe and haven't been able to find it on line or in the Paula Deen cookbooks that I have. Do you remember which recipe I am referring to? If so, would you please email it to me or tell me where to find it? Thank-you!
Submitted by Jeanette, Jacksonvile, FL Feb 07, 2010
[answered in Q&A podcast 2/7/10] The dessert was actually made by Bobby. It's just a tortilla shell, Snickers bar cut into 8ths, and almond paste. Wrap it all up and put it on the grill long enough for it to get warm. Jamie recommends adding a little bit of shaved coconut and mini marshmallow.

His favorite cake is Red Velvet. A couple of questions for you. Do you have a 'to die for' recipe and how can I sent it to him without it ending up a big mess. lol (ps..we are from Albany and believe or not your grandmother on your dad's side used to babysit him)

Hi Guys- I enjoy reading Jamie's blog..thank you for the updates! I'm happy to hear the family is enjoying a cruise, especially this time of year. Is Bobby going to have a blog as well? He used to twitter all the time, but not much lately:(
Submitted by Kristine, Union, NJ Jan 25, 2010
[answered in Q&A podcast 2/7/10] Jamie is really more into the Internet and tech stuff, and I just am not. We used Twitter when we were traveling all over the country for the book tour, but since we got home, it's been boring and not really anything to tweet about. But I keep threatening to get back into it. As far as the blog, Jamie is really a good writer, and I'd rather go outside and throw a baseball.

Mike, my husband. has been a Chick-fil-A operator for 25 years and our son has worked in his resturaunt for years. He is now working with a chef from the Ritz. We would love to introduce him to you and your staff.

I recently saw the two of you promoting your book on the CBS Early Show and Bobby made a comment about how the biscuit pizza's were a good quick meal for someone who was single. I too am single and although I love cooking and entertaining I find it hard to make small meals for one and I am tired of frozen dinners during the week! Was wondering if you could suggest some recipes that are good portions for one or two so I don't get stuck cooking and eating an entire recipe of mac-n-cheese or cheesecake. That will not help me on the dating front! Thanks so much!

Have you had any feedback on the meatballs recipe (pg 100) in your new book - "The Deen Bros - Take it Easy"? I mad them last night and the 2T of "The Lady's House Seasoning" has got to be wrong. They were so salty we couldn't eat them and had to throw them out. What is the correct amount to add?
Submitted by Tracy Horst, Fort Collins, CO Sep 24, 2009
[answer from admin] Measurement of house seasoning should be 1 1/2 teaspoons seasoning not 2 tablespoons. It will be corrected in the next printing.

How do I get on Paula's party. I even submitted a picture of myself with the two of you, and still not a reply !!!
Submitted by Beth H, Marietta, ga Aug 19, 2009
Mom no longer films the party show...sorry. I think it was too much for her to travel up to NY all the time
I was a huge fan of Road Tasted when the two of you were the stars. Any idea when these episodes will be released on DVD? The lobster episode alone is worth watching again and again.

I wish I knew! I would love to see those shows again, this is a question for the FN.
Hey y'all do you ever plan on coming back to St. Louis for book signings? See your photos all the time at the Blue Owl. Sure would like to see you guys again.

You can find our complete schedule for our book tour at thedeenbros.com. I really enjoyed our visit to The Blue Owl. It reminded us so much of our restaurant at home and the apple pie there is worth the trip!
Here's a recipe I don't do often but the kids love it. Mexican Pizza: 1 pound of extra lean ground beef, your favorite spaguetti sauce, monterey jack cheese and nacho cheese doritos. Cook meat then add spaguetti sauce. Make it in layers like a lasagna starting with meat sauce then doritos cheese and so on. Bake in oven @350 until cheese melts. The sauce should not be to runny but rather thick. Serve it with salad of macaroni and cheese. Really good the next day reheated. Hope you like it.The last layer should be the meat and the cheese.

What is the difference between Beef Consumme` and Beef Broth...
Submitted by Nancy Gayle McGonagill, Mount Pleasant, TX Aug 17, 2009
A beef broth is done with a long slow simmer of veggies and beef bones. A consume is simmered stock with egg whites and meat plus veggies that when done properly allows all the impurities to rise to the surface which is skimmed off leaving a clear liquid. Strain this liquid. A consume should have very little to no food particles in it.
So....when are Ya'll going to convert to being FLORIDA GATOR fans? God Bless!

Hey, I'll be in Savannah during one of your book signings, and I was just curious as to what I can expect. I know that y'all will be busy and will be trying to get out of there before midnight (especially since there's going to be a game on), but can I expect any "face time" with photo opportunities or will it be more of a sign and go type thing? I appreciate it if you're able to take the time to answer!

Bobby and I never leave a booksigning until everybody gets what they came for, within reason of course.
At the Paula Deen Buffet in Tunica, I enjoyed all of the food, as well as breakfast. Which left me to wonder: Why doesn't the Lady and Sons serve breakfast? I'm sure there's a fine reason.

We served breakfast for five years beginning in the second year of our business(contractually obligated) and quickly learned you can make a nice profit off an egg. But you have to sell a LOT of eggs. The hours are too tough and it takes us the entire morning to prepare our lunch so we just stick to two meals a day.
The way my grandmother taught me how to make rice pudding, she would put the rice in a pot cover the rice with water only to cover the rice add cinnammon stick and let boil. When water absorbed she would add the milk and sugar and cook it some more. It is yummy but your way it was creamier. When she wanted it creamier she added eggs and butter. Tried that not to good. God Bless Ya'll

You know, I have never tried to make rice pudding. Not a big fan.
